💡 Spinal Decompression Works Because It:

👏Addresses the root cause: When spinal discs are damaged, they can press on nerves, leading to pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness. These discs often struggle to heal because they remain under constant pressure, even at rest.

Spinal decompression therapy addresses this by gently separating the injured spinal joints, thus reducing the pressure on the discs and alleviating pain, numbness, or weakness.

🧑‍⚕️Provides A Healing Boost: By reducing pressure, spinal decompression allows essential nutrients and oxygen to flow back into the disc, thus kickstarting your body’s natural healing process and aiding in the repair of damaged discs..

“I've tried everything from chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, and excercise with  limited results. I've had pain down my legs since i was a teenager and was unable to perform many activities. In only a few treatments with the spinemed decompression table I can now excercise and do most anything without pain. I recommend spinal decompression to everyone. ”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We've Answered Your Most Common Questions

1. Is it expensive? Does insurance cover it?

The treatments are very cost-effective.

Generally, there's a $25 charge not covered by insurance, but most other services are covered.

We’ll check your insurance to determine your specific coverage and any out-of-pocket expenses.

2. How is this different from a Traction or an inversion table?

When the muscles supporting your spine are stretched for extended periods, they tend to contract and resist.

Traction and inversion devices, which apply a constant pull, often trigger this muscle-guarding response, preventing the creation of sufficient negative pressure needed to relieve nerve compression.

Decompression therapy addresses this issue by bypassing muscle resistance. By creating a more significant negative pressure within the disc, it helps to alleviate pressure on the nerves and promotes the disc’s natural repair process.

3. Do you use any other treatments along with the Decompression?

In addition to Decompression therapy, Dr. Sizenbach, D.C., offers complementary therapies carefully designed to enhance healing. These gentle treatments focus on the recovery of the disc and surrounding tissues.

Rest assured, our therapies are tailored to support the healing process gently and effectively. We also provide patients with personalized advice on stretching and exercises for at-home care, ensuring continued progress outside of the clinic.

4. What is Decompression Therapy?

Spinal Decompression is a non-surgical and drug-free treatment for disc-related injuries of the neck and lower back.

Spinal Disc Decompression uses computer-aided technology to apply gentle, non-surgical decompression to your spine, increasing circulation into the spinal discs and joints, thus helping to relieve the symptoms that cause pain.

5. Are the treatments painful?

No. Spinal Decompression is safe and comfortable for all subjects. Decompression therapy is designed to be gentle and is generally well-tolerated by most patients.

The treatment's focus is on relieving pressure and promoting healing without causing additional pain. Some patients might experience mild discomfort during the initial sessions as their bodies adjust, but this typically subsides as treatment progresses.

6. What Results can I expect?

It is unethical to guarantee a cure. But Results may differ from patient to patient based on many factors such as Age, condition, length of time, and other health factors. Often a patient experiences some relief within the first few (3-7) treatments. Usually, by the 12th to 18th treatment, most patients have reported some remission of symptoms.

7. Can Spinal Decompression be used for patients that have had spinal surgery?

Yes. Many patients have found success with Spinal Decompression after a failed back surgery. Ultimately the Doctor will determine if Decompression therapy will be beneficial in your particular case.

8. Am I eligible for Decompression Therapy?

The most common types of conditions that are successfully treated with spinal decompression therapy are (but are not limited to): Disc bulges (herniations, slipped, or bulging), sciatica (leg pain), disc disease, stenosis, arm pain, neck, and back pain. The best way to know is to call us for an appointment to see if you are a good candidate.

Meet Dr. Sizenbach

Welcome to the Functional Wellness Center of Omaha!

I’m Dr. Scott Sizenbach, D.C., and I’m thrilled that you’re considering our office for your care. I understand you’ve explored other options, and I appreciate you taking the time to visit us.

A few years ago, I experienced a severe injury while lifting my step-daughter out of my car, which impacted my ability to work and led me to consider surgery. To find a solution, I underwent the SpineMED Decompression treatments that you see on this website.

These treatments not only helped me avoid surgery but also kept me pain-free.

This personal experience gave me a unique perspective and deeply influenced my approach to treatment. I realized that many traditional methods for disc-related injuries were inadequate, and by adopting a new approach, our results have significantly improved.

I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

At our office, we strive to make you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive and throughout your entire experience. We’re committed to getting to know you and your family because you’re more than just a number to us.

If you choose to become a patient here, I view it as a partnership—your health and my reputation are closely linked. I am dedicated to working together to achieve the best outcomes for you.

I hope to see you soon!
